If the item examined fits the criteria to be sold at auction, our experts will advise the seller on the right moment to sell and will establish the starting price, the price with which bidding will open at auction and below which the item will not be sold.
The auction house will handle everything for the sale and display of the lots, from the auction catalogue – sent via courier to an extensive national and international database of clients, both individuals and merchants – to promotional advertising with press campaigns and national and international advertising in newspapers, on the radio and online, as well as communication on our own online platform. This allows us to reach new buyers all around the world.
The auctions, open to the public, are held in our elegant headquarters in Turin and Milan and, on special occasions, in beautiful locations where other events can be held simultaneously, such as art or photography exhibitions, wine tasting, charity auctions or fundraising gala events with items donated to foundations and NPOs.
The potential number of participants in the auction is very large, since clients can bid from all over the world thanks to options including the live auction, telephone bidding (clients are in contact via telephone with an Aste Bolaffi representative present at the auction) or absentee bidding (issuing a maximum bid before the auction).
At the end of the auction, Aste Bolaffi will send the seller a statement summary with the final price for their lots. The sellers will be paid via bank transfer after a brief period to be agreed together. The auction house will always guarantee payment from its buyers, with no risk whatsoever for sellers.
