GREAT SUCCESS FOR THE LAST NUMISMATIC AUCTION
The sale of Coins, banknotes and medals held in Turin on 26 and 27 May 2022 ended with an overall result of 4,2 million euros (including royalties), 80% of lots sold and significant six-figure realisations, in particular for three coins that were sold for more than 200,000 euros each. The success of the auction, which involved hundreds of participants with a foreign presence of over 50%, confirmed the positive trend of numismatic sales and the role of Aste Bolaffi as a key player in the sector.
"Despite the general international situation," commented Gabriele Tonello, Head of the Numismatics Department at Aste Bolaffi, "the numismatic market is once again proving to be healthy, with increasing participation from countries such as Eastern Europe and China. Especially in the former case, items from these countries continued to increase their profits, sometimes even twofold, in the space of 12 months.”
