CLASSIC CAR AUCTION ON 10 JUNE: RARE MICROCARS IN THE CATALOGUE

One hundred lots, from the 1930s to the 2000s, including rare microcars, make up the catalogue of the Classic Car sale organised by Aste Bolaffi on Friday 10 June in Turin, at Toolbox (Via Egeo 18) and live on the auction house's website www.astebolaffi.it.
The top lots of the auction are a 1971 Porsche 911 2.2 S coupé, well-preserved and 'matching colour' in a rare Albert Blau, an unconventional colour especially in Italy (Lot 100, estimate 120,000-140,000 euros), and a Ferrari 360 Modena, a model that represented one of the Maranello company's greatest commercial successes, bringing to debut the 3.5 V8 engine, 5 valves per cylinder for 400hp (Lot 99, estimate 75,000-95,000 euros).
Some particularly hard-to-find sports cars stand out in the catalogue, such as a Bmw Motorsport M5, one of the first M5s produced, the official car of BMW Italy and a cult object for fans of the BMW brand (Lot 75, estimate 50,000-70,000 euros), and a Fiat 131 Racing Volumetrico Abarth in the three-door version, of which only around thirty units were produced (Lot 58, estimate 32,000-37,000 euros).

Original and curious are the rarest and most exclusive microcars, "specialities" of Aste Bolaffi, such as a toy car, Piero Patria Lucciola of 1948-49, in perfect original condition (Lot 94, estimate 10,000-15,000 euros), two Alca Volpes, including a rare Mille Miglia (Lot 96, estimate 30,000-40,000 euros), and even a 1954 Microbo 125 produced in only three examples by the Industrial Experimental Scientific Institute of Milan, a model developed by the Ducati brothers but never marketed (lot 101, offered in private treaty).

Among the cars with illustrious origins is an iconic Ford Thunderbird that belonged to the Innocenti family, in the rare configuration for the Italian market: a unique car in terms of its characteristics and history, also eligible for the Mille Miglia and major classic motoring events, such as the Targa Florio, the Vernasca Silver Flag and the Goodwood revival (Lot 80, estimate 35,000-55,000 euros).
There is also a Rover P5 3.5 Litre Coupé purchased new in 1969 by actor Marcello Mastroianni – whose name as first owner is recorded in the logbook – and subsequently passed to the family of Giovanna Cau, his friend and manager, a famous lawyer in Italian cinema in the 1960s and 1970s. Getting behind the wheel of this car, with its unmistakable elegance and technological refinement, is like taking a trip back in time to the golden age of Italian cinema (Lot 53, estimate 25,000-35,000 euros).
In addition, worthy of note is the Fiat Campagnola once owned by RAI National Television in Turin (Lot 70, estimate 25,000-30,000 euros), and some 'barn finds', cars offered without reserve, such as a Volkswagen T1, a minibus in the 'shop' version (Lot 98, estimate 5,000-15,000 euros).
Enriching the catalogue is the usual selection of ‘automobilia’ (car accessory collectables) where a majestic Rolls Royce grille with the famous 'Spirit of Ecstasy' statuette is placed alongside Ferrari steering wheels and Maserati accessories, embellishing a multifaceted catalogue aimed at car and ‘automobilia’ enthusiasts of all periods and genres.

Moreover, a "Panda 4 Mission', between training and charity.

There is also a vintage Panda 4x4, restored thanks to the Turin Heritage association by the students of the 'Vehicle repair and body operator’ course at the Rebaudengo Professional Training Centre in Turin (Lot 69). The proceeds of the sale will be donated to the Don Bosco Missions, specifically to the 'Centre Notre Dame' in Clairvaux, relative to Salesian work in Madagascar, 15 kilometres from the capital Tananarive. This restoration has a special feature, which will only be revealed on the day of the auction: the students created several interior customisation projects and submitted them to Giorgetto Giugiaro. The famous designer provided advice and evaluations, and then selected their favourite sketch, which was then used as a reference to complete the interior.
