Aste Bolaffi is pleased to present its eighth sale dedicated to fine wines and spirits, organized in collaboration with Slow Food Editore (Turin, 17 May), with a catalogue of around 900 lots of Italian and foreign wines from carefully selected wine cellars, including many prestigious vintages and special formats, important champagnes, and highly valued spirits. The first session is dedicated to Italian wines predominately from Piedmont and Tuscany. The highlights include a rich collection of Barolo Monfortino and Cascina Francia Giacomo Conterno from 1937 to 2015 and a comprehensive selection of Barolo wines from 1960 to 2011 from Cantina Mascarello. Numerous bottles of Barolo and Barbaresco Bruno Giacosa enrich the section, including a double magnum of Rocche del Falletto Riserva from 2000. For Tuscany, together with bottles of Masseto, Solaia, Tignanello, Sassicaia, and Brunello di Montalcino, two lots of Ornellaia with the labels "Vendemmia d’artista" and "25esimo anniversario" and a fine selection of around 30 lots of Le Pergole Torte Montevertine from 1981 to 2014 stand out. Moving to France, the Bordeaux wines are well represented by a wooden Duclot Collection chest from 2004 with nine bottles of its most famous Châteaux, and from rare vintages of Château Lafite Rothschild and Petrus. The selection of champagne is also highly valued, with a 1969 magnum of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque, a 1969 bottle of Salon Le Mesnil Vintage, prestigious vintages of Dom Perignon (from 1955), Krug and Cristal. The auction ends with the session dedicated to spirits, with numerous Macallan bottles produced since 1936, including a vertical consisting of 10 18-Years-Old bottles from 1967 to 1984, the top lot of the sale.
