After the debut at the
Pista di Arese this past May,
Aste Bolaffi presents its second
Classic Motor Vehicles Auction which will be held on
Saturday 17 November in
Turin, at
Garage Bolaffi, corso Verona 36/E. The catalogue proposes 36 automobiles and around 200 lots of memorabilia, some from
Stile Bertone, including spare parts, prototype windows and windscreens, wheel rims, tyres, posters, Bertone insignia, design models, a Lamborghini Espada 12-cylinder engine and a pantograph drafting table from the Gandini years.
In the section dedicated to cars, the auction house has focused on
classics and
youngtimers. Youngtimers, though considered young from a collecting standpoint, have already won a place in the world of collectible cars, and represent an intelligent investment. The catalogue includes 36 cars, some from Stile Bertone, from the end of the ‘60s to the beginning of the 2000’s. A few that stand out are the 1985
BMW M635 CSI, one of the most legendary models of the Munich manufacturer (lot 230, estimate
60-70 thousand euros), and the 1991
Porche 911 Carrera 4, registered new in Italy and always maintained at official Porsche workshops, still with its original paint job and ASI Targa Oro certification (lot 234, estimate
60-70 thousand euros).
There is also a 1959
Fiat Nuova 500 Sport, the most sought-after 500 model by collectors (lot 232, estimate
55-65 thousand euros) and a 1999
Ferrari 456 M Pininfarina, in flaming red, among one the most beautiful Ferrari models, and with the benefit of being able to seat 4 people (lot 225, estimate
70-80 thousand euros). There is another vehicle in the catalogue that in its category comes in first: the 1995
Fiat Punto Cabrio Bertone, number 000001, the first of the series off the production line. It is thought to have been used for some time by Nuccio Bertone himself, who wanted the leather seats put in. Registered to the Grugliasco company, the vehicle has a fabric hood, used only for the first seven specimens (lot 200, estimate
4-6 thousand euros).
The 1991
Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione 1 is considered the symbolic Youngtimer vehicle. The specimen offered, with only 3 previous owners and 41 thousand miles traveled, is in practically unheard of condition (lot 222, estimate
60-70 thousand euros).
Among the most desired post-classic cars by collectors is the
1971 Alfa Romeo Montreal which has had only three owners and has been restored with exceptional care: the body was repainted in its original colour (orange), new tyres were mounted on regenerated Campagnolo wheels and it was fitted with a leather interior, authentic from that period (lot 235, estimate
70-85 thousand euros).
The 1968
Fiat Dino 2000 coupé Bertone, fitted with a Ferrari engine, was designed by Giugiaro (lot 221, estimate
50-60 thousand euros), while the rare 1970
Alfa Romeo Junior Z 1300 Zagato has a very unique design, and has had the same owner for the last 17 years (lot 220, estimate
50-60 thousand euros). Among the cabrios, one worth noting for its performance is the powerful 1963
Daimler SP 250 Dart, testament of a time where British automakers resorted to fiberglass extensively to lighten the bodywork (lot 217, estimate
50-65 thousand euros).
Finally, collectors will enjoy the almost
200 lots of
automobile memorabilia, spare parts and design models and prototypes created up to the 2000’s by
Stile Bertone, such as the
Lamborghini Countach (lot 154, estimate
1,500-2,400 euros) and the
Lamborghini Athon (lot 155, estimate
1,500-3 thousand euros). Logos, illuminated signs, photographs, posters, wheels, tyres, trophies and much more will be up for auction – genuine relics that automobile lovers can take home starting from just a few hundred euros.
