Porcellana bianca e grès grigio chiaro prodotti e decorati a stampo;
l’invetriatura termina sopra la base.
Invetriatura leggermente consunta, alcune piccole crepe alla base della
scatola.

AN OCTAGONAL BOX AND A VASE WITH CÉLADON GLAZING
South-east Chine (Fujian?), Song or Yuan dynasty, 13th-14th Century
White porcelain and light grey stoneware produced and decorated in
a mould; the glazing ends over the base. Slightly worn glazing, some
small cracks at the base of the box.
Diameter 3.46 and 2.28 in.

VASO CON IMPUGNATURE CON ANELLI DECORATIVI
Cina, fornaci di Longquan (Zhejiang), dinastia Ming (1368-1644)
Grès prodotto in uno stampo bivalve con invetriatura céladon. Il profilo
risalente all’epoca Song presenta un’apertura svasata quadrilobata e due
impugnature in cui sono inseriti due anelli non movibili.
Nei due medaglioni sul ventre è impresso il carattere Shou (壽 “vita
lunga”) da un lato, Fu (副”felicità”) dall’altro.
Orlo restaurato. Piccole scheggiature alla base, chiari segni del raccordo
delle due metà sul lato.

A VASE WITH RING-SHAPED HANDLES
China, Longquan kilns (Zhejiang), Ming dynasty (1368-1644)
Stoneware produced in a bivalve mould with céladon glazing. The
profile dating back to the Song dynasty presents a four-lobed flared
opening and two handles in which two fixed rings are inserted.
The two medallions on the belly bear the impression of the characters
Shou (壽 “long life”) on one side, Fu (副”happiness”) on the other.
The rim has been restored. Small chip at the base, clear signs of the
joining of both halves on the side.
