PRESTIOGIOUS PAIR OF CARTIER BRACELETS IN BURMESE RUBIES FROM BOLAFFI AUCTIONS

Certified provenance, top quality gems and the signature of one of the world's most renowned jewellery maisons are the characteristics that make a jewel exceptional. And the top lot of the next Jewellery Auction of Aste Bolaffi – scheduled for 13 October at the Hotel Mandarin Oriental in Milan and on 14 October live on the internet at astebolaffi.it – presents all these qualities. Owned by the same family since time immemorial, the pair of ruby and diamond bracelets made in the 1920s by Cartier is an extremely rare piece that is difficult to find on the Italian market (Lot 282, starting price 200,000 euros). The lot consists of two platinum bracelets embellished with 16 unheated Burmese rubies, of over 40 carats, with SSEF certificates, alternating with diamonds. The larger bracelet bears the signature of the maison "Cartier made in France", French hallmarks in platinum and the manufacturer Gustave Renault; the smaller one has its serial number. The two bracelets can be joined to form a collier de chien.

Other top lots at auction include an unmounted brilliant-cut diamond of over 13 carats, VS2 clarity (Lot 279, starting price 80,000 euros) and a rivière necklace with 69 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 30 carats (Lot 281, starting price 55,000 euros).
Not only unique pieces for grand soirees but also jewels to be worn on any occasion, such as an iconic Cartier "Bamboo" choker with original case and matching pendant earrings (Lots 273 and 274, starting prices 7,700 euros and 2,500 euros), a three-colour gold bracelet by Pomellato (Lot 187, starting price 3,000 euros) and a 1930s demi-parure composed of a pendant-brooch and a pair of earrings set with brilliant-cut diamonds of over 7 carats (Lot 29, starting price 7,000 euros). The auction proposals are enriched with an antique bracelet adorned with polychrome enamels, and the Papal State stamp (Lot 101, starting price 2,000 euros), a series of interesting bracelets from the 1930s to the 1950s and other jewellery by Tiffany&Co, Van Cleef & Arpels and Boucheron at interesting prices. Before the auction, all lots will be on display at the Bolaffi headquarters in via Manzoni 7.
