The auction will be held in the context of a fascinating post-industrial building in Turin. The catalogue includes well over thirty collectible cars of recent production (from the end of the 1960’s to the beginning of the 2000’s) destined for a young and laid-back public, as well as various lots of automotive memorabilia including important workshop discoveries, essential for those who want original and exact spare parts for their collectible cars.
Purchased in May 1971 by a physician from Pescara who, before collecting it, commissioned the dealership to re-trim the seats in leather (an option not available at the time). After a few years it the car was purchased by the owner of a shoe factory in the province of Chieti. Used as a "holiday car", the Montreal remained in his possession until the end of 2014, when it passed to a collector from London (the reason that its exportation was prohibited, and it no longer has the original license plates). Shortly after the purchase, the new owner commissioned a total restoration of the car, entrusting the overhaul to Italian specialists (Back to Basics Classics).
