Cassa in legno ad intarsi Boulle in ottone, bronzo
dorato, madreperla, pietre dure e smalti, cimato
dalla dea Fortuna, sul fronte una porta in vetro
e metallo dorato con scena mitologica con una
naiade sul cocchio. Quadrante con dodici placche
a cartouche smaltate con ore in numeri romani
su fondo dorato, scolpito e cesellato e lancette
feuille brunite.
Meccanica rettangolare firmata De Forges à Dijon,
scappamento a verga e suoneria al passaggio a
ore e mezze con suddivisione su ruota partitora.

Wooden case with Boulle inlays in brass, gilt
bronze, mother-of-pearl, hard stones end
enamels, with the Fortune goddess on top, a
glass and gilt bronze door on the front with a
mythological scene with a naiad on the chariot.
Dial with twelve enamelled cartouche plates with
hours in Roman numerals on a gilded, sculpted
and chiseled backgroundand blued feuille hands.
Rectangular movement signed 'De Forges à
Dijon', verge escapement, hour and half-hour
striking, hour division on count-wheel.
Cartel clock 39.4 x 18.9 x 8.7 in.
