maschere di taotie e foglie di tabacco. Con base in legno.

GRANDE VASO IN GIADEITE BICOLORE
Cina, XX secolo
Raffigurante una vite matura addossata ad una roccia con insetti
che si arrampicano sulle foglie ed una colomba, metà bianca e
metà nera posata sulla roccia. Le caratteristiche della giadeite
bicolore sono usate per creare il contrasto tra la roccia e la pianta.
Una vecchia rottura sul coperchio: manca probabilmente una
seconda colomba, seduta in cima. Scheggiatura sull’orlo del corpo,
una foglia rotta.

Depicting a mature vine leaning against a rock with insects
climbing up the leaves and a dove, half white and half black resting
on the rock. The two colors of the jadeite are used to create the
contrast between the rock and the plant.
An old break on the cover: probably a second dove, sitting on top,
is missing. Chipping on the rim of the body, a broken leaf.
