COPPIA DI MONUMENTALI VASI IN AVORIO
Cina, Canton, XIX-XX secolo
In avorio intagliato, assemblato e dipinto. Sui coperchi due cavalieri a tuttotondo, nelle altre fasce istoriate sulle spalle, sul ventre e sopra
la base, spiccano scene di tribunali e battaglie. La spalla gradinata, con quattro anse opposte a forma di maschera con anelli pendenti.
Alcune crepe di stagionatura. Sopra la base entrambi i vasi sono stati tagliati e il fondo incollato. Uno dei due vasi è stato restaurato (una
scheggia incollata sulla spalla).

In carved, assembled and painted ivory. On the covers are carved two knights in the round, in the other sections carved on the shoulders,
on the belly and above the base, scenes of courts and battles. The stepped shoulder with four opposite handles in the form of masks with
hanging rings.
Some ageing cracks. Above the base both vases were cut and the bottom glued. One has been restored (a chip glued to the shoulder).
