UNA SCATOLA ED UN VENTAGLIO PIANO IN TARTARUGA
Cina, Canton, XIX-XX secolo
Tartaruga intagliata a traforo e incisa. La scatola, in tartaruga assemblata, decorata sul coperchio con motivi di fiori e foglie, il ventaglio
con manico in legno, intagliato con un motivo di sette draghi tra le nuvole, montato in un pannello vetrato.
Una crepa di stagionatura verticale sul bordo della scatola, mentre all’interno si trovano tracce di rivestimento in tessuto e di colla.
Un restauro sul ventaglio, in basso a destra.
La scatola altezza 3,8 cm, diametro 10,5 cm

Carved and engraved tortoise-shell. The box, in tortoise-shell assembled, decorated on the lid with flowers and leaves motifs, the fan
with wooden handle, carved with a motif of seven dragons in the clouds, mounted in a glass panel.
Vertical ageing crack on the edge of the box and traces of fabric and glue inside.
Restoration on the fan, lower right.
The box height 1.49 in., diameter 4.13 in.
