VASO CON COPERCHIO A FORMA DI PESCHE DELL’IMMORTALITÀ
E ‘MANO DI BUDDHA’ IN TURCHESE
Cina, dinastia Qing, XVIII-XIX secolo
Turchese piuttosto chiaro, con poche venature. Intaglio molto esperto,
specialmente sotto i frutti dove rami e foglie formano una solida base.
Base a due piani in legno intarsiato di filo d’argento.
Due piccole scheggiature all’interno dell’orlo (vena nera visibile).
Riparazione distinguibile sul retro della ‘mano di Buddha’; nella stessa
zona piccole scheggiature di due foglie.

A VASE WITH LID IN THE SHAPE OF PEACHES OF IMMORTALITY
AND BUDDHA’S HAND’ IN TURQUOISE
China, Qing Dynasty, 18th-19th Century
Rather light turquoise, with a few veins. Very skilful carving, particularly
under the fruits where branches and leaves form a solid base. Two-
level wooden base, inlaid in silver thread.
Two small chips inside the rim (black vein visible). There is a
recognisable repair on the back of the “hand of Buddha”; in the same
area there are some chips on two leaves.
