fine del X secolo
Scolpita in pietra, la scultura mostra la divinità stante
nella posizione samabhanga; indossa un semplice
sampot legato in vita da una sottile cintura e abbellito
da una fascia che cade verticalmente tra le gambe; i
capelli sono raccolti in alto in un elegante chignon e
assicurati da una fascia; il retro del sampot presenta un
decoro di fitto tratteggio diagonale. Su base in legno.

Acquistata nel 1972.
Lotto corredato da attestato di libera circolazione.

Carved in stone, the statue depicts the deity standing
in the samabhanga position; she is wearing a
simple sampot tied at the waist with a thin belt and
embellished by a sash that falls vertically between the
legs; the hair are gathered up in an elegant chignon
and secured by a sash; the back of the sampot has a
decoration of dense diagonal lines. On wood stand.
Height 31.50 in.
