Cross” filigree which sold for 61,000 euros and an advanced
collection of releases from between 1855 and 1980 also from
great Britain, which sold for 51,240 euros.
Other excellent results for the stamps included the cover
franked by the Papal state in 1869 and sent from Rome to the
united states, one of only three known covers with the rare grey
and pink from the third release, which sold for 50,000 euros and,
of the stamps from British colonies, one of the two maximum
multiples known of the block of 32 examples of the Indian half
Anna from 1854, which almost tripled its estimate (from 10,000
to 28,000 euros).
