VENDuTo a Yet again, stamps demonstrated their popularity during the two
SolD aT days dedicated to philately on 27 and 28 October in Turin. The
€ 51.240 sale concluded with an overall total of 2,250,000 euros, hard-
fought sales and a sales percentage of over 70%.

The top lots were a highly specialised collection of Italian
stamps from 1862-1978 which was estimated at 30,000 euros and
sold for 79,300 euros and the British releases with an 1884 One
Pound stamp bearing the likeness of Queen Victoria and “three
globe” filigree which was snapped up at 73,200 euros from an
