DUE FIGURE ASSISE ALLA MANIERA OCCIDENTALE
Cina, periodo di transizione tra le dinastie Ming e Qing, XVII secolo
Legno intagliato, laccato in nero e rosso e dorato.
Pochi segni di tarli, doratura parzialmente consunta. Crepe contenute di
stagionatura. La testa di una delle due figure è rotta sul retro, per il resto
sono entrambe integre.

Carved, lacquered in black and red, and gilded wood. A few signs of
woodworm, gilding partially worn. Limited cracking due to seasoning. DUE FIGURE DI DIVINITÀ FEMMINILI
The head of one of the figures is broken on the back, but otherwise Cina, dinastia Qing, XVIII-XIX secolo
both are intact. Legno intagliato, laccato e dipinto o dorato.
Height 11.42 and 10.63 in. Mentre la figura assisa è pressoché integra (eccetto danni da tarli),
l’altra presenta ingenti danni: la mano destra è rotta all’altezza
€ 300 (2) dell’avambraccio, inoltre manca l’inserto con la testa dell’animale e
entrambe le zampe sono rotte (la statuina non si regge in piedi).

Altezza 25,5 e 28 cm the right hand is broken at the forearm, and the insert with the animal
head and both paws are broken (the figure cannot stand alone).

Carved, lacquered and painted wood.
Woodworm damage, one has been partially integrated at the base.
Paint restored in some parts, some seasoning cracks. The niches on
back are empty. Various breaks.
