VASO QUADRANGOLARE
CON COPERCHIO
Cina, dinastia Quing, XIX-XX secolo
Di forma arcaica, in bronzo fuso a stampi,
di patina nero-verde, con draghi applicati
e zampe ferine. Forma e decorazione del
vaso si ispirano al vaso rituale jian
(鑒 opp. 鑑). Sotto la base sono incisi
quattro caratteri nella “scrittura del
bronzo” (金文) caratteristica dei bronzi
di epoca Zhou, circondati da una linea
quadrangolare.

Of archaic form, in mold cast bronze,
of black-green patina, with applied
dragons and feral legs. The shape and
decoration of the vase are inspired by
the jian ritual vase (鑒 or. 鑑). Below the
base are engraved four characters in the
“bronze writing” (金文) characteristic of the
bronzes of the Zhou era, surrounded by a
quadrangular line.

Di forma globulare, con due anse, tre felini
a tuttotondo sul coperchio e al centro un
drago Chilong incavato, sul corpo e sul
coperchio un decoro a draghi e leiwen, la
parte superiore delle zampe decorata con
maschere derivanti dal taotie.
Errore di saldatura sul fianco.
