€ 200 (2) La mano fluida, lo stile e la qualità della carta fanno
pensare che l’opera fosse parte di un più ampio
rotolo del periodo Muromachi. L’opera faceva parte
della collezione del grande pittore Matsuoka Eikyu,
descritta nel catalogo d’asta delle sue proprietà
avvenuta alla sua morte nel 1938.

The painting depicts a nobleman and his attendant.
The fluid line, style and quality of the paper suggest
that the work was part of a larger scroll from the
Muromachi period. The work was part of the
collection of the great painter Matsuoka Eikyu,
described in the auction catalogue of his properties
which took place upon his death in 1938.
